BLUU will give 10 grants of $500 to those who have been directly effected by the hurricane and ecological disasters in recent months. Please complete this form to access the grant. We have the opportunity to apply for more funding if there is more need. We will be issuing these grants on a rolling basis until the money is exhausted.

Q: Who is BLUU?

A: Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism is a group of Black Unitarian Universalists dedicated to providing support, information & resources for Black Unitarian Universalists. 

Q: Do I have to be a Unitarian Universalist to apply for this grant?

A: Absolutely not.

Q: Why are you asking for my income information, if you’re not verifying it?

A: We want to understand where the need is, to help us better serve.

Q: How long is the review process?

A: Once the application process is closed, we’re aiming for 7-10 days to from selection to funds being on its way. 

Q: How many people can apply from a household?

A: Only one per household, please.

Q: How much is the grant for?

A: The grant is for $500.

Q: What is the timeline for the application and granting process? 

A: Applications will be accepted Tuesday, November 28, 2017 - Monday December 4, 2017. Notifications will go out December 8th. At that time grant recipients will also be updated on when to expect their funds.
